I Graduated from Lancaster University in l990 with a BA in English Literature. I Graduated from Newcastle University in l992 with an MA in Legal Studies. I undertook my professional training in l993 at York Law College and was Admitted as a Solicitor in l995. Basically, I came to Towells Solicitors for work experience and never left. I am now a Partner in the firm, a Member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and hold Litigator Status with the College of Personal Injury Law.

As a Lawyer, my specialisation has been Litigation. I have pursued extensive Personal Injury, Industrial Accident and Industrial Disease Litigation. I derive great satisfaction from Trial work and have also met with considerable success. In pursuing Litigation, it is vitally important to have organisational and logistical support and I have always been guaranteed that at Towells. Over the last couple of years, I have also taken on additional responsibilities, to include Practice Management work and related administration. I am also Towells’ designated Client Care Partner. I am Head of Towells’ British Coal Industrial Disease Team, and am responsible for Cases pursued under both the British Coal Respiratory Disease Litigation and British Coal Vibration White Finger Litigation. In connection with the British Coal Litigation, I have also attended a number of Meetings of the Yorkshire Monitoring Group and English Monitoring Group.

The great joy of my life is my daughter. In the aftermath of the South East Asia Earthquake, I was fortunate enough to be in a position to work with other Professionals, to include Doctors, Surgeons, Pharmacists and others in mounting a Relief Campaign. Subsequently, I flew out to Pakistan with my daughter and have set up a Relief Construction Project for the provision of homes and a School in one of the worst affected areas. It has been my great privilege to continue with that work and hopefully, together with others, we will be able to help some of those who were worst affected by the earthquake.
